Erfreulicherweise scheint Renko Fortschritte zu machen, was seine Zutraulichkeit anbelangt, da er Interesse an seinem Besuch zeigte und sogar mutig genug war, die angebotenen Leckerchen aus der Hand zu nehmen. Eine große Narbe „ziert“ nach wie vor seinen Hals, die eine schwere Vergangenheit als Kettenhund vermuten lässt. Für seine Kennelkollegin scheint er eine große Stütze zu sein, da sich diese stark an ihm zu orientieren scheint.
