Der kleine CUDDLES sitzt bereits seit mehreren Monaten im Shelter – und es grenzt an ein Wunder, dass er bislang überlebt hat. Mit seiner zarten Statur und dem stark verfilzten Fell ist er körperlich in einem besorgniserregenden Zustand. Als der Kleinste in seinem Kennel ist er täglich der Gefahr ausgesetzt, übersehen oder sogar verletzt zu werden.Wir mussten mit ansehen, wie er aus einem benachbarten Kennel heraus attackiert wurde – ein weiteres Anzeichen dafür, wie schwierig und belastend das Leben für ihn im Shelter ist.
Anfangs zeigte er sich stark verunsichert: CUDDLES nahm keine Leckerchen an und ließ sich nur unter Bedrängung anfassen. Dabei zeigte er deutliches Abschnappverhalten. Als er merkte, dass er damit keinen Erfolg hat, ließ er vorsichtig Nähe zu und wir konnten ihn schließlich behutsam auf den Arm nehmen. Wir sind sicher, dass er das Potenzial hat, sich in einem sicheren und hundeerfahrenen Zuhause zu einem vertrauensvollen Begleiter zu entwickeln.
